This Privacy Policy describes how xGluted Technologies LLC (“xGluted,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the xGluted mobile application, xgluted.com, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described below.

01

Scope and definitions

In this policy, “you” means the person using the Service or the entity on whose behalf that person acts. “Personal Data” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or can reasonably be linked with an individual. “Service Provider” means a person or company that processes information for xGluted to help operate the Service.

This policy applies to information handled through the Service. It does not govern the independent privacy practices of breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, app stores, social-login providers, or other third parties.

02

Information we collect

Information you provide

Depending on the features you use, you may provide:

  • Email address and account credentials.
  • Profile information, preferences, saved places, and favorites.
  • Ratings, reviews, check-ins, photos, and other content you submit.
  • Messages or information included in support requests.

Location information

With your permission, the app may collect precise or approximate device location to show nearby venues, support map discovery, and enable location-based features such as check-ins. You can change location permissions in your device settings, although some features may then be unavailable or less useful.

Usage and device information

We may automatically collect information such as:

  • Internet Protocol address, device type, operating system, and app or browser version.
  • Pages or screens viewed, features used, dates, times, and session duration.
  • Unique device identifiers, crash reports, and diagnostic data.
  • Referring pages and general interaction data on our website.

Third-party sign-in and subscriptions

If you choose a third-party sign-in option, we may receive information that provider makes available according to your settings. For purchases processed through an app store, we may receive transaction identifiers, subscription status, and receipt metadata needed to provide premium access. We do not receive your full payment-card details from the app store.

03

How we use information

We may use information to:

  • Provide, maintain, personalize, and improve the Service.
  • Create and manage your account and Beer Passport access.
  • Show nearby places and support search, map, check-in, review, and saved-item features.
  • Process support requests and communicate service, security, or policy updates.
  • Understand feature performance, troubleshoot problems, and protect against misuse.
  • Comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms & Conditions.
04

Public features and user content

The Service may let you post ratings, reviews, check-ins, profile details, photos, or other content. Information you choose to make public may be visible to other users and may be associated with your profile. Do not post information you want to keep private. Removing content from your account may not remove copies previously shared or retained for lawful, safety, backup, or integrity purposes.

05

How we share information

We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: Vendors that help with hosting, account services, support, analytics, security, and other operational needs.
  • Public areas: Other users may see content and profile details you choose to publish.
  • Business transfers: Information may be transferred in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets.
  • Legal and safety needs: We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce agreements, or protect rights, safety, and the Service.
  • With your direction: We may share information when you ask us to or otherwise consent.

Service Providers may use Personal Data only for the services they perform for us and subject to their contractual or legal obligations.

06

Data retention

We retain Personal Data for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security and integrity, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary based on the type of information, why it was collected, and applicable requirements.

07

Data transfers

xGluted is based in the United States. Your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where we or our Service Providers operate. Those locations may have data-protection laws that differ from the laws where you live. We take reasonable steps designed to handle information consistently with this policy.

08

Your choices and rights

  • Account information: Update available profile details through the Service or contact us for help.
  • Location: Change the app’s location access through your device settings.
  • Communications: Follow the unsubscribe instructions in optional marketing messages. Essential service messages may still be sent.
  • Subscriptions: Manage or cancel an app-store subscription through the account settings provided by that app store.
  • Access, correction, or deletion: Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your Personal Data.

Some requests may be limited where retention is required or permitted by law, needed for security and fraud prevention, or necessary to complete a transaction you requested. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Depending on where you live, additional privacy rights may apply.

09

Data security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10

Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided Personal Data to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

11

Third-party links and services

The Service may link to websites, venue pages, app stores, maps, or other third-party services that xGluted does not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Review those policies before providing information to a third party.

12

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service or applicable requirements change. We will post the updated policy and revise the “Last updated” date. When appropriate, we may also provide notice through the Service or by another reasonable method. Changes become effective when posted unless a different date is stated.
